- Local Storage / SDKs: Mobile applications use software development kits (SDKs) and local device storage to achieve similar functionalities as web browser cookies. These technologies allow the app to cache data, record performance logs, and securely persist your authentication tokens directly on your device.
3. HOW WE MANAGE CONSENT (THE CMP)
We deploy a certified third-party Consent Management Platform (CMP). When you access our Platform for the first time, a cookie consent banner is displayed, prompting you to make a choice regarding non-essential tracking. Except for Strictly Necessary Cookies, which are vital for the basic operation and security of the Platform, no cookies are loaded onto your device without your explicit, prior, and informed consent. These trackers help us understand how users interact with the Platform, such as the duration of visits, which features are accessed, and overall user interface engagement, enabling us to continuously optimize the application. To protect your privacy, we utilize Google Firebase Analytics with IP address anonymization activated by default. This ensures that your raw IP address is truncated at the network layer and can never be used to personally identify your device. This analytical data is used solely to improve our user interface and is stored for a maximum period of 26 months before being permanently deleted.
4.3. Targeting and Advertising Cookies
With your explicit consent, we and our trusted advertising partners may set cookies to track your browsing habits and build behavioral profiles. These profiles enable us to deliver personalized advertisements tailored to your interests and limit the number of times you see the same ad. This category also includes cookies from our affiliate shopping integrations (such as Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, and Skimlinks). If you interact with the ticketing and merchandise widgets on our sports and match detail screens, these providers may place cookies on your device to track successful purchases and ensure proper transaction routing under their respective privacy policies.
5. ROBUST PROTECTION OF MINORS (AGES 16-17)
Chantoff is dedicated to providing a safe, private, and secure environment for our younger users. If you are registered and identified as a minor (aged 16 to 17), our system architecture automatically and unconditionally disables all targeting, profiling, and advertising cookies. Minor profiles will never be subjected to behavioral tracking, interest-based ad targeting, or commercial profiling. Any advertisements displayed to minor accounts are strictly contextual, based on the specific sport or match currently being viewed, without storing or tracking historical behavior.
6. HOW YOU CAN CONTROL COOKIES
You have full control over how your data is tracked on Chantoff:
- In-App CMP Settings: You can review, adjust, or withdraw your cookie consent at any time by opening the "Cookie Settings" menu in your account settings. This is the most effective way to manage non-essential analytics and marketing trackers on our Platform.
- Operating System Controls: You can limit tracking across all applications in your mobile device's settings:
- iOS (Apple): Go to Settings \> Privacy & Security \> Tracking and toggle off permission for apps to request to track you.
- Android (Google): Go to Settings \> Privacy \> Ads and select Opt-out of Ads Personalization or Delete Advertising ID.
- Web Browser Controls: If accessing Chantoff via a web browser, you can configure your browser to block, delete, or decline cookies. Please consult your browser's "Help" or "Preferences" menu for specific instructions.
Please note that disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the basic functionalities of the Platform. However, completely disabling all cookies through browser-level settings may prevent you from logging in or storing your local preferences.
7. RETENTION OF NETWORK LOGS
For cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and system stability, our firewalls automatically record network metadata (including IP addresses and HTTP traffic logs) upon server interaction. These server logs are stored securely for a maximum period of 30 days on our EU-based cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Region) and are then automatically purged or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is legally mandated to investigate an active, documented security breach or cyberattack.
